Seattle Central Community College Course work
Class Instruction as part of the Degree program.
On occasion I am asked to fill in as instructor at Seattle Central Community College. I teach these classes as part of the AAIST degree program.
By trade, I am a UX design expert and work with various companies in and around the Seattle Metropolitan area. On occasion I speak to classes on working in the technical sector and my experience as a usability expert. I find working as an instructor at the college to be very rewarding and highly beneficial to my work in the field. I probably average 60 hour work weeks but find the work vastly rewarding. In addition to teaching and working as a contract UX designer, I also freelance from home. My background is in graphic and web design. I love what I do and plan to continue my education for as long as I work in this field.
For winter quarter 2009 at SCCC I am teaching PhotoShop and Illustrator for the web. There will be tutorials and assignments posted online. You are welcome to look through these courses and evaluate the various classes I instruct. Perhaps you will find other courses that you are interested in learning more about. I highly advise all students interested in web design to take the course on user centric design principles, offered here at the school. This course will talk to the end of usability and will dramatically improve your web building skills and perhaps help you land a great job.
