WEEK 1
ASSIGNMENT #1
- Get your Thumb Drive and Textbook (#1) immediately -- >
- Create a Portal page (you can make one with your Seattle Central Google App's SCGA account! all students have this available to them upon registration -- here's their FAQ page, too!) and post it to your server space -I brought a digital camera to class tonight so you get your picture taken to post on your portal page :) post on it the following:
- your photo: It would really help me to get photos of all of you so I can associate the name with the face. I will bring a digital camera thursday so we can take your photos if you need one taken. I would like you to use this photo (or one of your choosing) on your web site. ~ Here also is a 1+ minute showing how to use Photoshop to create a Photo Web Gallery
- a little blurb about yourself and why you're interested in web work.
- links to your homework/deliverables
To accommodate those who are not yet FTPing (because they're in their first week of WEB110) we'll learn how to use Google SITES tool in class. You will find that you can place a good amount (all except your Final Project) of your 'optimized' Illustrator homework there!

- [NEED TO DO] Please send me an email that includes your full name, email, and a URL to your web page where you are going to be posting your assignments online. Be sure to give me the correct URL for your portal page and your current e-mail address so you can receive your test results.
EXCERCISE:
Playing with shape and color: I will show you how to create an image similar to the image below using shapes and custom color palettes.
